Clare Pain works at Mount Sinai Hospital in the Psychological Trauma Program. She has been associated with the Canadian Centre for Victims of Torture (CCVT) for the last 15 years. She consults there part time and is on the board of directors, and joined ICHA in 2010. Clare works in the Toronto Addis Ababa Psychiatry Project (TAAPP) and co-ordinates the Toronto-Addis Ababa Academic Collaboration (TAAAC) www.taaac.ca. Her clinical focus is on the assessment and treatment of patients, including refugees and new comers, who continue to suffer from the effects of psychological trauma. She has taught and published on various aspects of psychological trauma including trans-cultural aspects; and increasingly on global mental health.
